At X-Ring Archers, Owner/Director Jon c. Bach, the 1999 NFFA National Outdoor Champion and Certified NFAA Expert Level 4 Instructor offers students in first grade through adults lessons in archery. Mr. Bach instructs students studying archery, preparing them for competition, hunting, or recreation. Jon excels and instructs in all styles.

Jon began shooting and competing as a youth with his father. He stopped when he was 17 after losing sight in his right eye due to a car accident. In the fall of 1996, Jon returned to archery when a friend interested in the sport asked Jon to teach him. Mr. Bach soon began shooting competitively again, right-handed with his head cocked awkwardly over the bowstring to see with his left eye. Many of his fellow archers asked why he simply didn't shoot lefty, but being right-handed, Jon didn't want to completely relearn how to shoot. Shortly after, Jon came across a aleft-handed bow, and began shooting Barebow lefty. In 1997 the left-handed Barebow shooter places 1st at the Atlantic City Archery Classic (ACAC), and also became the 1997 NJAA Indoor State Champion. In 1998 and 1999, he took the 1st place Barebow titles in Atlantic City. In June 1999 Jon became the Outdoor Mid-Atlantic Barebow Champion. That same year, after five grueling days of shooting in Watkins Glen, NY, Mr. Bach claimed the title of NFAA National Barebow Champion.

In 2005 and 2006 Mr. Bach became the NJ Outdoor State freestyle Champion making him the only Archer in NJ to be a State Champion in 4 different styles, Barebow, Bowhunterfreesyle, Freestyle Limited and Freestyle. Mr. Bach now holds 1 National title, 3 Sectional titles and 13 State titles. Mr. Bach has been ranked 9th on the USAT Rolling Rankings.

"I just wanted to let everyone know what a great experience I had at X-Ring Archers. I've been a bow hunter for about 14 or 15 years and I often shoot 3-D targets with a group of my friends as a means of friendly competition and as a way to hone in on my archery skills. I am [was] a self taught archer and I'm a rare breed who shoot a compound bow without a release; i.e., finger shooter.
